Alan Shore was born February 7, 1962 in Dedham, MA.
He is an attorney and currently works as senior associate at Crane, Poole & Schmidt, 500 Boylston Street, Boston, MA.
Though specialized in anti-trust law, Alan's cases range from civil to corporate to crime litigation.
After the death of his wife he never re-married, but engaged in various, often short-term, relationships.
Alan used to own a big house, but he gave that up about 5 years ago to live in a hotel, the Fairmont Copley Plaza, just one block from Crane, Poole & Schmidt.
He is said to be "ethically challenged", his methods often are not what you would expect from a member of the bar, and at times he risks or is close to disbarment.

Adult content alert! The character of Alan Shore as well as me, his player, are 40+ years old and will act accordingly.
If you are a minor by law in your country (less than 18 or 21 years old), I kindly ask you to leave my journal.

Alan Shore is not a real person, he is a fictional attorney from the television series THE PRACTICE and BOSTON LEGAL. I am not Alan Shore, and I am not the actor who portrays him, James Spader.
I write and roleplay about/as Alan Shore for fun, and I'm definitley not trying to infringe on any copyrights owned by David E. Kelley Productions, ABC Television, Fox, TCFHE, etc.
If my English sounds funny at times, have mercy... it is not my mother tongue, just a second language.
